Shopaholic

I just watched the movie Confessions of a shopaholic with my roommate!

Shopaholic is a term used to describe individuals who are addicted to shopping. Best example? Paris Hilton. Check out her closet!

I found in that page some habits that indicates a problem with shopping or spending:

  • Shopping of spending money as a result of being disappointed, angry or scared.
  • Shopping/spending habits causing emotional distress or chaos in one’s life.
  • Having arguments with others regarding shopping or spending habits.
  • Feeling lost without credit cards.
  • Buying items on credit that would not be bought with cash.
  • Spending money causes a rush of euphoria and anxiety at the same time.
  • Spending or shopping feels like a reckless or forbidden act.
  • Feeling guilty, ashamed, embarrassed or confused after shopping or spending money. Many purchases are never used.
  • Lying to others about what was bought or how much money was spent.
  • Thinking excessively about money.
  • Spending a lot of time juggling accounts and bills to accommodate spending.

Have you experienced some of these? Maybe you are a shopaholic! ;)

Things that you want

If you say you're going to buy something, you're more likely to do it!

I was reading the news and I found out that stating an intention leads consumers to action and makes certain brands come to mind,  which then influences brand choices. The intention puts the intention-related brand to the front of consumers' minds and pushes other well-liked brands to the back until the consumer has accomplished the intention.

WELCOME!

Hi everyone, and welcome to my new blog!

I am very excited to be writing my first blog post. I would love to hear any opinions that you have to offer.

Thanks,

Ana
